In 2006, China’s automotive electronics market grew fast. Sales revenues reached 86.76 billion Yuan, up 39% over 2005. In 2006, power control and chassis control system were basically used in all homemade cars. Automotive electronics products were further upgraded. This was particularly the case of chassis control systems. In addition, car electronics was still a flashing point in the market. Sound systems in passenger cars were upgraded on a large scale. New car electronic products such as GPS and TPMS also gathered pace in their penetration. |

Mobile Phone Animation: Promising Growth Potentials but Challenges Ahead |

At the recent Animation and Game Industry Development Forum in the First China Beijing International Creative Culture Expo, Ma Yunfei, CEO of Beijing Kexun Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. said that the foundation for the development of mobile phone animation has been laid and mobile phone animation is expected to become a new starting point in China’s animation industry. Industry insiders are generally optimistic about the mobile phone animation industry. Telecom operators including China Mobile, China Unicom and China Netcom have all made it a potential profit growth point. |

Whose Era? -- China's Mobile Phone Sales Channels |

Li Jun, CEO of CCID Consulting, says China P&T and Telling, the two largest national general agents in China respectively, released sales figures which startled the industry in early 2007; both achieved growth much faster than average market growth during the same period. In 2006, China P&T Appliances sold a total of almost 43.20 million communication terminals. These included 33.82 million sets of mobile phones, accounting for a market share of close to 30%, up by 120% year-on-year. Telling sold 12.47 million sets of mobile phones, up by 116% year-on-year, with a market share of over 10%. |

On March 21, Michael Dell, the founder of Dell who recently took up the rein again held a press briefing in Shanghai. He said that Dell will cooperate more with other vendors or make acquisitions in the future, particularly in new fields. On the same day to meet some users’ demands, Dell released its hitherto lowest-priced PC in Shanghai, at only 2,599 Yuan.
