Data in CCID Consulting's Analysis Report on China's Linux Software Market in 2007Q1 show that operating sales revenues in China in 2007Q1 reached 1.234 billion Yuan,up by 9.4% over 2006Q1.Linux continued to top the growth of all operating system products.Its sales revenues reached 31 million Yuan,up by 30.9% year-on-year,continuing to maintain a fast growth momentum.Linux accounted for 2.5% of the overall non-embedded operating system market,up by 0.4% over 2006.However,it was still in a weak position as compared with Windows,Unix and other competing products.

Affected by the New Year's Day,the Spring Festival as many enterprises and utility units just started their information system building in the new year,5.0831 million ports of Ethernet switches were sold in China in 2007Q1,generating sales revenues of 2.074 billion Yuan,up by 4.4% and 4.2% respectively.

CCID Consulting's latest Analysis Report on China's MP4/PMP Player Market in 2007Q1 shows that in 2007Q1,478,800 MP4/PMP players were sold in China, generating sales revenues of 708 million Yuan.CCID Consulting forecasts that in 2007,the MP4/PMP player sales volume in China will top 2 million sets.

CCID Consulting recently reviewed China's IT services market in the first quarter of 2007. CCID Consulting says that,affected by a slowdown in system integration and hardware support services,sales volume in China's IT services market in 2007Q1 experienced a year-on-year drop from last year. However,volume still grew by 16.1%.Despite fast growth,outsourcing services fell short of the foreca-sted growth.Meanwhile,the demand for consulting services was strong. Also, there was a particularly notable growth in outsourcing-related consulting, indic-ating that users were very interested in outsourcing services.
