Information Systems Need to Make Contributions to Social Security Fund Regulation

CCID Consulting analysts think that the key to make social security information systems truly and effectively realize their management functions lies in speeding up efforts to improve relevant management mechanisms. Information systems are only one means and can only play an effective role if they are established on the basis of sound mechanisms. Once mechanisms are perfected, infor-mation systems will play a role far beyond what people can imagine---they will become a “warning line” and build an invisible and rigorous shield for social security funds.

Impact of China Mobile-Suning Alliance on Domestic Mobile Phone Retail Channels

CCID Consulting analysts think that the strategic cooperation agreement signed between China Mobile and Suning will undoubtedly make its mark on the Chinese retail market: Firstly, it heralded the introduction of a joint procurement model between operators and retailers in which sales are made through bundle services packages via both sides’ channels; Secondly, the “1+1>2” formula is expected to make both sides price leaders in the market; and thirdly, the exclusion nature of the cooperation between China Mobile and Suning will mean an intensification of competition pressures on retail terminals.

LED Package and Applications in China Grow Fast, but More Efforts Are Needed for Epitaxy and Chips

CCID Consulting analysts think that a fairly sound industry chain has been formed in China. But, relative to the package and application segments, the epitaxy and chip sectors still lag behind. The main reasons are: 1. Lack of independent intellectual property and core technologies; 2. Backward production equipment; and 3. Unsmooth commercialization of research results.
